One of the earlier console radios I restored is the Zenith Model 7-S-363. This 1938/39 radio was quite popular when it came out both because of its affordable price ($69.95 in Iowa or $79.95 in California) and its beautiful styling with a slim footprint (for a console).
In addition, it is equipped with the Radiorgan system that allows the listener to choose from 64 tonal combinations. When I received it, the radio was in multiple pieces, but with persistence and patience, I restored it to its original beauty. It now sits proudly on display in my living room, and all visitors are drawn to it.
